Top Edge

Bullnose: This is our most popular edge detail with the radius matching the thickness of the material. Drawers with dovetail corner construction have sides that are 1/16" lower than the fronts and backs and drawers with dowel corner construction have fronts and backs that are 1/16" lower than the sides.

Flat Top: The outside edges are eased slightly to enhance the appearance. Drawers with dovetail corner construction have sides that are 1/16" lower than the fronts and backs and drawers with dowel corner construction have fronts and backs that are 1/16" lower than the sides.

Flat Flush: The outside edges are eased slightly to enhance the appearance and regardless of the type of corner construction, all sides meet evenly at the corners.

Top Edge Finish

Foil: This is a clear thermal foil applied to either a bullnose or flat edge on our prefinished plywood box and solid prefinished maple boxes.

Wax: Wax can be applied to either a bullnose or flat edge on our prefinished 9-ply maple special core. It provides a moisture barrier protecting the wood from damage and if the wax is applied to the top edge, it is also applied to the end grain of the dovetail.

PVC Tape: This is the standard top edge for all melamine products and can also be used on many of our plywood products. PVC tape is available in solid colors as well as wood grains.

Wood Tape: This can be used with any of our plywood products and is available in several species, unfinished or prefinished.
